- First flight test on this 3D model.

- Only one set up for gyro on / off function

- Other set-ups:
- Gyro gain set high for hover testing

3D plane advanced features ..
 

1) Heading Lock.

- Real time inputs:
- One set up for gyro on / off function

- Second one set up for Heading lock function on all axes (pitch, roll and yaw)

2) Spin recovery

- Real time inputs:
- One set up for gyro on / off function with rate on pitch for 0.5 of a second

- Second one set up for gyro on / off function

- Other set-ups:
- Gyro gain set high for more effective spin recovery

When the gyro is first switched on all axes will counter any angular rates, but the elevator will also activate to produce a pitch up movement for 0.5s. (This is programmable from the PC tool, ie action on any axis for whatever time is needed).

Gyro testing with the prototype Quad-rotor ..
 

Quad-rotor Gyro testing.

- Testing the 3 axis gyro (Same design as BL-3GRC):
- 3 axis gyros for stability

- Also uses a magnetometer for heading lock

- Next steps:
- Clearly height stability is necessary so a height sensor will be implemented

- Also required are accelerometers for better positional and level stability
- Later on also GPS to be added.
